KalA Camp

Situated 12kms south east of Setari and 6kms south of Jedibe airstrip, Kala Camp hugs the banks of a seasonal river overlooking a palm forest island beyond.

The area offers a watery paradise between the months of May and October where guests can enjoy boating and Mekoro rides from in front of camp and long walks on the nearby islands. 

Between October and May, the flood water recedes and the floodplains dry up attracting large herds of buffalo and elephant.  With the buffalo, lion are often found in the vicinity hoping for a feast!  As well as the larger game, the birding in the area is also varied and plentiful.
